The Gospel Story

Presenting Everyone Complete in Christ.

There is
Always Hope

Our goal in counseling is to make the Gospel relevant by connecting the members in our community to the life-transforming power of Jesus Christ. We are confident that through the Scriptures and the power of His Spirit, God has given us everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3-4). It is our joy to help real people with real problems using the Bible.

Our vision for counseling is larger than a few one-on-one sessions with a counselor. Our approach focuses on helping you identify how your beliefs, values and desires express themselves in your emotions, relationships, decision-making and identity (Proverbs 4:23; Matthew 6:21; Luke 6:45). Our desire is to help you glorify God in your thoughts, words and actions as you walk through life and interact with others.

Our commitment as a church is to offer counseling services to church members and those in the local community. We believe in the life-changing power of Jesus Christ through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the instruction of God's Word. As a result, your counseling will be biblical counseling in which the Scriptures are held as the final authority in all matters. If you are unfamiliar with the biblical counseling process, you will have the option of attending one or two sessions to discover how we may help you.

Common Issues
We Help With

Our counselors are trained and experienced in helping others through many issues and concerns. Below are some of the more common issues:

- Marriage struggles
- Parenting concerns
- Sexual sin
- Emotions (depression, fear, or anger)
- Pre-marriage
- Eating problems
- Grief
- Post-abortion recovery
- Addictions
- Chronic illness

Regardless of the issue you bring to us, we believe that God's Word (the Bible) is sufficient to answer any of life's problems and questions.

All of our counselors, whether they are pastors or laypersons, have been a part of a training education program and an internship to begin helping people through similar issues to your own. All of our counselors are supervised by our Executive Pastor, Pete Potloff.

Getting Started

The first step in the counseling process is to complete the Request for Counseling Form. After completing the form, you will need to complete the Counseling Intake Form. The downloadable Counseling Intake Form should be completed and emailed as an attachment to the Counseling Team or turned in to the church office prior to your first session.

The Counseling Intake Form is designed to
(1) help us know you in a comprehensive, holistic and efficient manner and
(2) help you organize your thoughts and expectations.
Once we receive your Counseling Intake Form, a biblical counselor will carefully review the information and contact you. Depending on your situation, we may suggest other ministry services to help you.

All counseling is free after a one-time fee of $35 to cover the cost of materials and resources.

Counseling sessions typically last an hour. Childcare is not provided.

We look forward to walking with you through what God has for your life!

Are you ready to experience real hope?

We partner with Made to Minister Biblical Counseling Ministry to offer free biblical counseling. Take the first steps in the process.
