Here's what's up...

Christmas Service

We're excited to announce we'll be hosting a special Christmas service on December 23 at the beautiful Elsinore Theater in downtown Salem. Join us at 7:00 PM that evening as we celebrate our Savior as a church family through music and Scripture reading!

Holiday Giving Opportunities

We are approaching a time of thanksgiving, celebrating the birth of Christ, and soon, a new year. We're partnering with schools and several ministries throughout Salem to come alongside individuals and families during the holidays. Here's how you can be part of this season of giving!

Provide a Thanksgiving Meal

We have an opportunity to partner with our neighbors and local schools to help families in need who can use a Thanksgiving meal. We are looking for volunteers to shop for a complete Thanksgiving meal and to deliver it to a family in need between November 23 and 24. If this is something you can help with, hit the button below.

SHC Update | 08.12.2021

In response to the recent mask mandate, we are asking our church family to wear masks. If you cannot wear a mask due to medical or mental health reasons, no questions will be asked. We trust you. Please comply if you can.

Please take a moment to consider this video message from Pastor Justin Greene as he shares a caution and challenge.

Life through God's Word

Our heart is to see our church family THRIVE even in the midst of unusual and uncertain circumstances. So, we're challenging you to consistently get into God's Word with your family and/or friends. Each week we'll provide a selected Bible passage and reflection questions for you to read and discuss with others.

Special Announcement

In light of the announcement from the State of Oregon banning all gatherings of 250 or more, and having consulted with medical professionals and pastors from other local churches, we have made the decision to cancel all ministry activities effective immediately. This would include Sunday services, small groups, and all other meetings. We will seek to clarify the extent of the cancellations this Wednesday, March 18, as the medical situation here in Oregon and abroad continues to unfold. The two exceptions to the cancellations will be The Most Excellent Way and individual counseling appointments.

In place of services this Sunday, March 15,  our pastors will be recording a message which will be available on our website Sunday morning. As we continue to abide by restrictions on large gatherings over the next month, we will keep you informed regarding access to sermons and worship opportunities through recordings or livestreaming. At this point, the church office will continue to be open during our normal office hours.  Please continue to pray for the families affected by the Coronavirus and medical professionals as they care for individuals that are impacted; and please pray for opportunities to share our Savior during this time.
